Our Story- The Pishta Way

Pishta by Pankhuri was born from a love for design, textiles, and the belief that clothes should feel as good as they look.

The journey of our founder ‘Pankhuri Rastogi’ began in Lucknow, a city of elegance, culture, and timeless craft. From there, it moved approximately 310 miles to Noida, where fashion design found direction at Pearl Academy of Fashion. And then, much farther away, the journey stretched over 4,200 miles to Nottingham, United Kingdom, to pursue a Master’s in Textiles.

From Lucknow to Noida to Nottingham, this was not a short journey. It took thousands of miles and several years to learn, grow, and expand a dream. From a city rooted in heritage, to a bigger city full of ambition, and finally to global fashion classrooms in the UK, every place added something new. Perspective widened, skills sharpened, and confidence slowly took shape.

During these years, apprenticing with established fashion labels and textile agencies brought real, hands on understanding of the fashion industry. This is where creativity met structure, and ideas learned how to turn into garments that women could truly live in.

In 2020, Pishta by Pankhuri came to life with one simple belief. Clothing should feel personal. It should feel like you.

Where’s the name Pishta comes from? 

The name Pishta comes from Pistachio. Just like a pistachio, our designs are layered. Layers of thought, craftsmanship, intricate embroideries, and subtle details that slowly reveal themselves. Nothing loud. Nothing rushed. Everything intentional. Much like the designs, the journey behind Pishta was layered too. Every phase of life added depth, patience, and understanding, which shaped not just the brand, but the person behind it.

At Pishta, we believe details matter because details carry emotion. Fashion is more than fabric. It is how we express who we are without speaking. Some days you feel bold, some days soft, some days dramatic, and some days deeply rooted. Your clothes should move with those moods.
